WeRecycle!, Inc. to Open a State of the Art Electronics Recycling Facility in the New York Metropolitan Area

Mount Vernon, NY - WeRecycle!, Inc., a leader in the electronics recycling industry, is expanding its recycling capacity by opening a new facility just outside of New York City. This new facility will provide local recycling infrastructure to process the growing electronic waste created by New York City's businesses and residents. WeRecycle!'s 56,600 square foot facility in Mount Vernon, New York, is expected to open by July 1st, and will operate in addition to WeRecycle!'s current facility in Meriden, Connecticut.

WeRecycle! provides domestic, cost-effective processing of all types of electronics including computers, televisions, printers and cell phones. WeRecycle! offers businesses, government agencies and households a responsible, convenient option for recycling this growing waste stream. To assist with their expansion, WeRecycle! has received several grants from New York State. "We are pleased that New York State sees the value of investing in this emerging industry." said Mick Schum, President of WeRecycle!. "With this new facility, WeRecycle! continues to be a pioneer in the industry, setting the bar high for data destruction and environmental responsibility."

WeRecycle!'s new facility will use cutting edge technology to guarantee data destruction, while recycling in an environmentally responsible manner. The facility's demanufacturing process will be highly automated, and includes a 300 HP Quad Shredder specifically engineered to process electronics. With the addition of this new facility, WeRecycle! continues to lead the electronics recycling industry by upholding the highest level of environmental and social standards. WeRecycle! does not export any hazardous components or non-tested electronic devices to developing countries. WeRecycle! does not send any hazardous components to landfills, and maintains a no prison labor policy.
