WeRecycle! Awarded Mid-Northeast Recycling Operating Committee Contract for Recycling Electronics

Meriden, CT, January 21, 2005 - On December 20, 2004, the Mid-Northeast Recycling Operating Committee awarded WeRecycle! a contract for managing consumer electronics for its 12 member towns in Connecticut: Andover, Ashford, Bolton, Chaplin, Columbia, Coventry, Eastford, Mansfield, Tolland, Union, Willington, and Windham. The contract began on January 1, 2005.

WeRecycle! specializes in recycling computers and other electronics, and is the first and currently only facility in Connecticut that is fully permitted to dismantle them. WeRecycle! also provides the most environmentally sound management and recycling of fluorescent lamps, batteries, and other waste items. The company upholds the highest environmental and service standards for all materials that they manage. These standards include the reuse of CRT glass in the production of new CRTs, and approximately 99.9% mercury recovery from fluorescent lamps.
